NEW BUSINESS
Phone Home for the Holidays – Crystal Gracz is the lead and contact for this charity, which will be supported as our charity from September 1st to October 31st. Crystal will email everyone the flyers/tent cards and send out a blast to the league.

Gleaner’s Food – Aaron Smith is the lead and contact for this charity. Aaron will have more information regarding this charity at our next meeting.

Macomb Food Bank – The committee was solicited last month by Gail Hernalsteen for support of a local food bank.  Although this was not a designated event for the committee, the committee did make a commitment for 2011 to volunteer our time with local charitable organization that needs assistance.  A date was designated in July, however due to the high heat temperatures during the month and the fact that the warehouse was not air conditioned the originally scheduled date was cancelled.  Gail will be getting in touch with the committee once a rescheduled date is determined.  Volunteers were also solicited from the Executive Committee and their credit unions.

The Program and Events Committee is looking for suggestions for potential chairatible organizations to receive the donated gifts from the annual Holiday Luncheon. A suggestion was made by Kathi Sitek “Snowpile” a program sponsored by Children’s Hospital as a potential option.  Any suggestions can be forwarded to Gail Hernalsteen at ghernalsteen@motorcitycoopcu.com

NEXT MEETING:
Thursday, October 20, 2011 at Motor City Co-op Credit Union at 9:00 a.m..

ADJOURNMENT:
Motion was made by Ronnie Johnson and supported by Gail Hernalsteen to adjourn the meeting at 10:41 a.m. Motion carried.
