METRO EAST CHAPTER OF CREDIT UNIONS
CHARITY COMMITTEE MEETTING MINUTES
November 13, 2007
The regular meeting of the CHARITY COMMITTEE of the METRO EAST CHAPTER OF CREDIT UNIONS was called to order by Chairperson Crystal Gracz at 8:45 a.m. on November 13, 2007 at Motor City Co-op Credit Union, Clinton Township, MI.
COMMITTEE MEMBERS PRESENT:
Crystal Gracz, Aaron Smith, Gail Hernalsteen, Kathy Figgs, Shirley Dolecki.
COMMITTEE MEMBERS EXCUSED:
Karen Myers, Becky Reini, Sally Gibson, Barb Pitlik.
PREVIOUS MEETING MINUTES:
Motion made by Kathy Figgs and seconded by Gail Hernalsteen to approve the minutes of September, 2007 meeting.Motion carried.
OLD BUSINESS:
Crystal Gracz needs all funds for the Phone Home for the Holidays campaign by Friday, November 16th to ensure that the cards are received overseas in time for the holiday season.Karen Myers needs individual credit union totals for Phone Home for the Holiday’s campaign for posting on the chapter website.The ME Chapter website has been updated and all totals for the past year’s charity efforts should be posted on the site by November 16, 2007.All committee members should peruse the site occasionally to ascertain information is correct and posted in a timely manner.
NEW BUSINESS:
Aaron Smith presented Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America, Michigan Chapter as a charity for 2008.The committee agreed to this charity for January and February, 2008.March of Dimes will be the charity for March and April, 2008.Phone Home for the Holiday’s will be the charity for October and November, 2008.May, June, July, August and September, 2008 need charities and sponsors and will be discussed at an upcoming meeting.A possible bowling event for the Charity Committee was mentioned, possibly for February of 2008.
NEXT MEETING:
8:30 a.m., January 15, 2008, at Motor City Co-op Credit Union.
ADJOURNMENT:
Motion was made by Gail Hernalsteen and seconded by Kathy Figgs to adjourn this meeting at 10:25 a.m.Motion carried.
