NEW BUSINESS:

Due to the economic strain being incurred throughout the 2010 year, a motion was made to change the committees commitment to charities with a maximum donation of $500 vs. the original agreement with an unlimited dollar amount to meet a $2500 donation per charity. Motion made by Gail Hernalsteen and supported by Kathy Figgs.

We were asked by Blue Water FCU to help sponsor The Leukemia / Lymphoma Society. It was decided that since our charities were already designated for the year we would decline the request at this time.  Correspondence will be sent by Crystal Gracz and will include an invitation to bring this charity to the 2011 planning session. Motion made by Laura Beauregard and supported by Ronnie Johnson.

Phone Home – All donations will be accepted with no donation minimum. Crystal Gracz will be the lead and supplied materials.  An email with additional materials will be forwarded to the committed for the September 1st kick off.   With the recent “Cell Phones for Soldiers” campaign being sponsored by one of the “Big 3”, members might be confused with our charity efforts.  If questioned, we should specify that we are not affiliated; however, our support is for the same cause.

ELECTIONS:
None to be reported.

NEXT MEETING:
Thursday, October 28, 2010 at Eastside Family Federal Credit Union at 9:00 a.m.

ADJOURNMENT:
Motion was made by Gail Hernalsteen and supported by Kathy Figgs to adjourn the meeting at 10:07 a.m.  Motion carried.
